Subject: Management Companies and Self-Managed Funds Quarterly Statistics – New Version
Purpose: To inform Regulated Entities about new Form QST-MC Version 11 and the date for submission of this Form.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C423 on 08/01/2021 to inform the Alternative Investment Fund Managers (‘AIFMs’), UCITS Management Companies (‘UCITS MC’), Self-Managed UCITS (‘SM UCITS’), Self-Managed Alternative Investment Funds (‘SM AIFs’), Self-Managed Alternative Investment Funds with Limited Number of Persons (‘SM AIFLNP’), Companies with sole purpose the management of AIFLNPs and Small AIFMs, about a new version of the Form for the Quarterly Statistic, the QST-MC Version 11 (‘the Form’).
The Form must be completed and submitted to CySEC by all Regulated Entities that were authorised or appointed to act as External Managers (in case no authorisation is required by the relevant legislation), by December 31, 2020. In this respect, Regulated Entities that were authorised or appointed to act as External Managers by December 31, 2020, but have not made use of their authorisation must also submit the Form.
The Form must be successfully submitted electronically via the CySEC’s Transaction Reporting System (‘TRS’) by 15:00 hrs, Friday, January 29, 2021, at the latest.
The Form is regarded as being successfully submitted to CySEC only when a NO ERROR indication feedback file is received.
This Circular C423 provides the steps that Regulated Entities will have to follow, for the successful submission of the Form to the TRS, as well as, information about the method of creating, signing and submitting the Form to the CySEC and general comments for the Form.
