Subject: Risk Based Supervision Framework (the ‘RBS-F’) – Electronic submission of information for the year 2024 (Form RBSF-CIF)
Purpose: To inform CIFs of the obligation to submit the Form RBSF-CIF Version 10.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C706 on 09/05/2025 to inform the Cyprus Investment Firms (‘CIFs’) that a new version of the Form RBSF-CIF (‘the Form’), Version 10, is issued. The new Form is updated and more comprehensive.
CySEC notes that the information that will be collected through the new version of the Form is significantly reduced compared to the previous version of the Form. The reason for this is that a lot of the information that used to be collected in the older version of the Form has been integrated and is now collected through the updated version of the Form QST-CIF.
This Form is issued on an annual basis and its scope is the collection of various statistical information. The information collected through the Form refers to the reporting period 01/01/2024 – 31/12/2024 and reference date 31/12/2024.
CySEC further informs that the Form must be completed and successfully submitted to CySEC, by all CIFs that were authorised by 31/12/2024. In this respect, CIFs that were authorised by 31/12/2024, but have not made use of their authorisation must also submit the Form.
The deadline for the submission of the Form is by Friday, 13/06/2025, at the latest.
The Form must be successfully submitted electronically via the CySEC’s Transaction Reporting System (‘TRS’). The Form is regarded as being successfully submitted to CySEC only when a NO ERROR indication feedback file is received.
This Circular C706 also refers to important information regarding the amendments on the new version of the Form, as well as the method of creating, signing and submitting the Form to the CySEC and general comments for the Form.
