Subject: Further information regarding C748 “AMLA Regulation: Direct Supervision of Selected Obliged Entities – Submission of information”
Purpose: To provide further information in relation to Circular C748 that was issued on 31/12/2025.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C749 on 08/01/2026 to inform Cyprus Investment Firms (‘CIFs’), Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (‘UCITS’), UCITS Management Companies, Variable Capital Investment Companies, Alternative Investment Fund Managers (‘AIFMs’), Small AIFMs, Sub-threshold AIFMs, Alternative Investment Funds (‘AIFs’), Registered Alternative Investment Funds (‘RAIFs’), Alternative Investment Funds with limited number of persons (‘AIFLNP’) and the Crypto-Asset Services Providers (‘CASPs’), that following Circular C748, issued on 31/12/2025:
1) A Clarification Section has been published and is now accessible. This Section aims to provide further guidance based on the questions submitted.
2) The deadline of the Form to be submitted, in accordance with Circular C748, has been extended to Monday, 12/01/2026, at the latest.
CySEC encourages the Regulated Entities to consult the “Clarification Section” and to continue submitting any questions to the email address risk.statistics@cysec.gov.cy, until 08/01/2026.
CySEC notes that Regulated Entities that have already submitted the Form are requested to review their submission and ensure full alignment with the published clarifications. Where applicable, resubmission may be required.
