Subject: AMLA’s public consultations regarding the draft RTSs under articles 19(9) and 28(1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1624 and article 53(10) of Directive (EU) 2024/1640
Purpose: To inform the Regulated Entities that the AMLA has launched public consultations regarding draft Regulatory Technical Standards.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C755 on 16/02/2026 to inform the CIFs, ASPs, UCITS Management Companies, Internally managed UCITS, AIFMs, Internally managed AIFs, Internally managed AIFLNPs, Companies with sole purpose the management of AIFLNPs, Crypto Asset Service Providers, Small AIFMs under Law 81(I)/2020 and the Crowdfunding Service Providers, that the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (the ‘AMLA’) has launched public consultations regarding draft Regulatory Technical Standards (the ‘RTS’) under the following:
• Article 19(9) of Regulation (EU) 2026/1624 (AMLR) - on criteria for business relationships, occasional transactions and linked transactions as well as lower thresholds.
• Article 28(1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1624 (AMLR) - on Customer Due Diligence.
• Article 53(10) of Directive (EU) 2024/1640 (AMLD 6) - on pecuniary sanctions, administrative measures and periodic penalty payments.
CySEC further informs that an online Public Hearing on the draft RTS on Business Relationships and Customer Due Diligence is scheduled for 24/03/2026.
