Subject: AMLA’s Final Report regarding the draft ITSs under article 15(3) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1620
Purpose: To inform the Regulated Entities that the AMLA published a Final Report regarding the draft ITSs under article 15(3) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1620.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C796 on 14/08/2026 to inform the CIFs, ASPs, UCITS Management Companies, Internally managed UCITS, AIFMs, Internally managed AIFs, Internally managed AIFLNPs, Companies with sole purpose the management of AIFLNPs, Crypto Asset Service Providers, Small AIFMs under Law 81(I)/2020 and Crowdfunding Service Providers, that the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (the ‘AMLA’) published a Final Report on the Draft Implementing Technical Standards (the ‘ITS’) on cooperation within the AML/CFT supervisory system for the purposes of direct supervision under Article 15(3) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1620.
It is noted that AMLA also published a FAQ document answering the questions most frequently raised about the reporting package on the identification of provisionally eligible obliged entities for direct supervision.
With this Circular C796, CySEC reminds Regulated Entities that, from 2028, AMLA will directly supervise a number of financial institutions at group level, thereby transferring their AML/CFT supervision from national supervisors to AMLA.
