Subject: AMLA’s public hearing on the draft RTSs under article 40(2) of Directive (EU) 2024/1640
Purpose: To inform Regulated Entities that the AMLA will hold a public hearing on the draft RTSs under article 40(2) of Directive (EU) 2024/1640 of the inherent and residual risk profile of obliged entities in the non-financial sector.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C800 on 08/09/2026 to inform the Administrative Service Providers (ASPs) and Crowdfunding Service Providers that the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (the ‘AMLA’) will hold a public hearing on the draft Regulatory Technical Standards (the ‘RTS’) under Article 40(2) of Directive (EU) 2024/1640.
These RTS set the methodology for the assessment of the inherent and residual risk profile of obliged entities in the non-financial sector.
The public hearing will be held on 10/09/2026, 10:00 - 12:00 CET. Registration will end on 10/09/2026, 10:00 CET.
It is noted that additional information by AMLA on the Public Hearing can be found at the relevant Public Hearing page.
According to Circular C800, CySEC recommends that Regulated Entities attend the Public Hearing as this is an opportunity for them to engage directly with AMLA on the proposed methodology.
