Subject: Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/2354 on formats for submitting beneficial ownership information
Purpose: To inform Regulated Entities that the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/2354 on formats for submitting beneficial ownership information shall apply from 10/07/2027.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C810 on 27/10/2026 to inform the Crypto Asset Service Providers (‘CASPs’), Cyprus Investment Firms (‘CIFs’), Administrative Service Providers (‘ASPs’), UCITS Management Companies (‘UCITS MC’), Self-Managed UCITS (‘SM UCITS’), Alternative Investment Fund Managers (‘AIFMs’), Self-Managed Alternative Investment Funds (‘SM AIFs’), Self-Managed Alternative Investment Funds with Limited Number of Persons (‘SM AIFLNP’), Companies with sole purpose the management of AIFLNPs and Small Alternative Investment Fund Managers (‘Small AIFMs’), that the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/2354 of 16 October 2026 on the formats for submitting beneficial ownership information was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 22/10/2026.
This Implementing Regulation shall apply from 10/07/2027 and shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
CySEC notes that Regulated Entities are encouraged to take into consideration the provisions of this Implementing Regulation.
